Materials/Methods:
Eyes of 52 presbyopic patients (104 eyes)ages from 42 to 69 years underwent analysis of the pathophysiology of aging of the ocular organ both macroscopically and microscopically. Patients enrolled in a multicenter clinical trial were evaluated for preop versus postop mean follow-up period 12 mos, range 0-31 mos. Measurement and visual outcome analysis for patients treated with the LaserACE procedure results were investigated for the biomechanical pathophysiology of the aging eye with various combinations including LaserACE with LASIK, PRK, and IOL transplantation.
