Conclusions:
Evaluation and treatment of the aging eye will require a more integrated biometric approach in order to determine the appropriate refractive surgical intervention required to meet the visual function demand for the presbyopic patient. Quantification of dynamic accommodative function of the normal ocular biomechanics will be critical, not only to visual function, but also to the overall ongoing health of the ocular organ. LaserACE procedure appears to be effective to restore natural dynamic accommodative function.
