Results:
No post-operative endophthalmitis was seen in the case series of the both groups. The cultures were positive only in 2 (5%) of 41 cornea rims of G1 whereas positive cultures were seen in 5 (14.7%) of 34 cornea rims of G2. Although the positive culture rates were nearly three times lower in vancomycin group, the statistical analysis of the results with pearson chi-square test showed no significance. (p=0.145)
