About the Presenter:
Rupal H. Trivedi, M.D., M.S.C.R.
Rupal H. Trivedi, M.S., M.S.C.R., is a Research Assistant Professor at Storm Eye Institute, Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), U.S.A. Dr. Trivedi received her ophthalmology degree from M & J Institute of ophthalmology, Ahmedabad, India and completed her fellowship training with Dr. Vasavada at the Iladevi Cataract and IOL Research Center (ICIRC), India. Later she worked as a junior consultant at the ICIRC. She also completed fellowship training at the Center for Research on Ocular Therapeutics and Biodevices with Dr. David Apple, and at the Miles Center for Pediatric Ophthalmology, Storm Eye Institute with Dr. Edward Wilson at MUSC. She completed her Master of Science degree in clinical research at MUSC.
She received clinical research curriculum and RCMAR scholar award. Dr. Trivedi’s research interests include cataract surgery and intraocular lens implantation for children, as well as adults. She is co-editor of the first textbook on pediatric cataract surgery, co-editor for a book on surgical and medical management of pediatric ophthalmology and authored or co-authored more than 60 articles in peer-reviewed journals, 25 articles in non-peer-reviewed journals and 45 book chapters. She currently serves as a section editor for the journal Eye. In addition, she is serving as a reviewer for several ophthalmology journals: Ophthalmology (2002-present); Journal of Cataract & Refractive Surgery (2002-present); American Journal of Ophthalmology (2003-present); Journal of Ocular Pharmacology & Therapeutics (2004-present); British Journal of Ophthalmology (2005-present); Journal of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus (2005-present); Acta Ophthalmologica (2005-present); Indian Journal of Ophthalmology (2005-present), Archives of Ophthalmology (2005-present), Journal of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus (2006-present), and BMC Ophthalmology (2006-present).
