• Cornea Fellowship at Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston
• Residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia
• Former Director of Cornea Service at the University of Chicago
• He has published extensively, is on the editorial board of journals, is a national and international speaker and was the invited speaker to various international ophthalmic societies
• Received numerous awards including the prestigious Honor Award from the AAO
• He has received First Place Award for his surgical video presentations from AAO, ASCRS and ISRS
• He is the editor of two surgical textbooks, namely, 1) “Surgical Techniques in Anterior & Posterior Lamellar Corneal Surgery” and 2) “Step by Step Anterior & Posterior Lamellar Keratoplasty”
