About the Presenter:
He has given training to more than 100 ophthalmologists from India and overseas for management of cataract. His centre is well known all over the world and there is always a constant flow of visitors. He has published 135 publications in peer reviewed journals. Also has written chapters in more than 20 books of international repute. He has traveled extensively to all the continents and has invited to many many countries for lectures, conducting instruction courses and chairing important meetings at international as well as national level. He has been invited to perform live surgery demonstration across the globe in countries like USA, Italy, Germany, Hungary, Soudi Arabia, Gulf countries entire Asia – Pacific region including china and Australia.
He has been a recipient of best researcher award and national B.C. Roy Award. Has been a recipient of Asia Pacific association of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons (APACRS) Educator award – 2002. He has been a distinguished member of many international ophthalmological societies. Recently he has been recognized for his outstanding contribution and leadership in the fields of cataract and refractive surgery as one of the Top Fifty Opinion Leaders. Also has won several rewards and awards at national & international conferences.
For last few years he is also heading & supervising research related to cataract development & management in children as well as adults. His ultimate goal is to keep providing highest quality of cataract management and solve some of the problems facing children and young adults.
