About the Presenter:
I was born in 1977 in Istanbul, Turkey. I graduated from Kadikoy Anatolian Collage (English Medium) in 1995. After passing the exam as the second best student, I had my medical education in Marmara University, School of Medicine (English Medium) between 1995 and 2001. I started working as a resident in Bakirkoy Dr. Sadi Konuk Education and Research Hospital, Department of Ophthalmology in November 2002. I attended XXII Congress Of The ESCRS, Paris in 2004, VIII. Mediterranean Ophthalmology Society Congress, Antalya in 2004, ASCRS symposium& Congress, Washington, DC in 2005, Black Sea Ophthalmological Society 3rd International Congress, Istanbul in 2005, XXIII Congress Of The ESCRS, Lisbon in 2005 and XXIV Congress Of The ESCRS, London in 2006. I had poster and free paper presentations in most of them. I am still working in the same department and this is the last year of my residency. I am interested in anterior segment surgery and primarily bimanual microincision cataract surgery. I wish, I could have a chance to attend a fellowship programme in this subject.
As a social information, I am married for 4 years and I have a 1 year old daughter. My wife is a resident in the department of cardiology of Istanbul science university school of medicine. My mother is an ophthalmologist, my father is a pediatrician. My sister has a doctorate in European Laws and works as a professor in Bogazici University.
