About the Presenter:
Dr. Suven Bhattacharjee, MBBS, MS, DO, DNB, has his private practice at Complete Care, Kolkata (Calcutta), India and is a visiting consultant at Apollo Gleneagles & AMRI Hospitals, Kolkata, India. He received his initial medical education and Post Graduate training (MS & DO) in Ophthalmology from JIPMER, Pondicherry. He received the Pondicherry University 'Gold medal' in Diploma & MS Ophthalmology. He is a Diplomate of the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi, India. He went on to receive training in Vitreo Retinal Surgery at the 'Retina Foundation' under the able guidance of Dr. P N Nagpal at Ahmedabad, India. He has received the 'C S Reshmi award for best video film' at the Annual conference of All India Ophthalmological society in 2006. He has received the 'K P Roy award for best free paper' and the 'Sovabati Dasghosh award for best Video paper' at the Annual conference of the Ophthalmological society of the State of West Bengal. He has special interest in Phaco surgery and has been invited to speak and perform live surgery at Phaco conferences and workshops. He has been an instructor at 'Instruction courses' in Phaco surgery at national and international conferences. He has been invited as 'Faculty' at Diploma courses conducted for Diabetologists by 'The University of Newcastle Novacare Diabetes academy' Australia. He has also authored a chapter on 'Diabetes and Eye'in the 'handbook of Diabetes care'.
