Results:
In the flap first, then ablate group, the mean procedure time was 8.23 min (+/-31 secs). In the flap, ablate, flap, ablate group, the mean procedure time was 7.46 min (+/-29 secs). Flap-zap also is less stressful for the patient and safer for the surgeon. Previous studies have shown that the results of IR prior to flap creation do not significantly differ from IR after flap creation.
