Results:
This study comprised 78 eyes of patients who had uncomplicated phacoemulsification and in the bag acrylic intraocular lens implantation. Thirty one (55,35%) were male and 25 (44,65%) were female. The mean patient’s age was 67,91 years old (range between 39 and 87 years old). Cystoid macular edema was diagnosed in only one case (1,78%) with optical coherence tomography (OCT) and fluorescein angiography after 3 months of the surgery.
