Materials/Methods:
48 consecutive cataractous patients (range 55 to 73 years) underwent MICS bimanual surgery technique and implant of MICS lens with a incision of 1.8 mm. This is a hydrophilic lens with an asymmetric-biconvex optical zone, 5.5mm of diameter, 12degrees angulations between haptics and optical zone, and a total diameter of 12 mm. This allows MICS lens positioning in farther posterior plane than usual, 5.5 to 6 mm from corneal endothelium at the nodal plane. The MTF (in laboratory) is 92 changing to 80 with tilting conditions.
