All included patients underwent uncomplicated phacoemulsification with small incision by the same surgeon.Exclusion criteria were signs of diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma which required use of topical drops, past history of intraocular surgery or inflammation. Age, gender, pre operative and post operative visual acuity were recorded. All patients used ketorolac tromethamine 0.5% solution (Acular) and a formula which contained: neomycin sulfate 0.5%, polimyxin B10,000UI, dexametasone 0.1% and polyvinyl acid 1.4%.Patients were seen at first post operative day and visual acuity was taken. Then they are followed at 4 days, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months and 12 months post operatively, with visual acuity measurement, complete ophthalmic clinical examination, fluorescein angiography and OCT in each visit.
